The clear glacial waters of McDonald Creek tie in the elements of this image together.

This piece is from the early days and it's one of my most memorable. I arrived near Lansing Michigan; it was dark as I hiked to the edge of the lake. I sat there waiting for the sun to rise. The silence was deafening. The sun, like a conductor of an orchestra began to rise and the sounds of life intensified. It was as if I was watching the world come to life for the first time.

While Overlooking Flathead Lake and the Livingston Mountain Range, I spent two weeks chasing this sunset. In this particular evening, the lighting conditions and weather turned in my favor. I like the subtleness of the colors reflecting in the water and how the clouds and rocks pull you into the scene.
